A common reason for people to not get a pet is the worry of not being able to take care of them at all times. People need to be away from home for a variety of reasons, and sometimes pets aren't able to tag along. There are many businesses, hotels, and airlines with rules that make bringing a pet with you impossible. However, it is still possible to have a happy pet and be away from home regularly. There are many pet daycares that will pick your pet up from your home when you leave and drop them off when you get home.
Work
You might think that pets are a bad idea for you because you work a lot and don't have family members at home while you're gone. It is nice that you care enough about animals to not want to leave them alone for so long, but there are other options. You can have a pet that will be home when you are and stays somewhere else while you work. There are great pet daycares and boarding businesses that specialize in these situations. Your pet will get the attention they deserve when you're not available.
Travel
Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, you most likely won't be able to bring your pet with you. The last thing you would want to do is leave them alone at home for multiple days at a time. This can cause anxiety and stress in a pet that may negatively affect their health. However, this doesn't mean that you can never travel again if you have a pet. You can make plans for them to be picked up by a pet daycare service before you leave and for them to drop your pet off once you arrive home.
Social Life
How many times has someone told you that they can't stay out too late because they have to get home to their pet? It is great that so many people care about their animals being happy, but it doesn't have to get in the way of their social lives. You can be a good pet owner and a social butterfly at the same time. All you have to do is find a reputable pet daycare company that offers pet pick up and drop off services. Some of them will give you the option of calling them at any time to go pick up your pet so you can still have the social freedoms you deserve.
